North America US Los Angeles / Long Beach 17 Jan 2022 - Vessel wait time is up to 28 days (Los Angeles) and 38-45 days (Long Beach) due to yard congestion, high import container dwell at terminals and labor availability. 9 vessels within 40 nautical miles of San Pedro Bay and another 91 waiting/drifting. Pier A Terminal (Long Beach) will be open for import pickup only for second shift on Friday Jan 21, 2022. TTI Terminal at 90% of capacity and APM yard at 84% of capacity. The Port Authorities of Los Angeles / Long Beach have suspended their emergency container dwell fee another week until Jan 24, 2022. However individual terminal operators SSA (PCT and Pier A), ITS, TTI and LBCT will apply separate temporary storage charges for extended import container dwells.

Europe Italy Genoa 7 Jan 2022 - severe port congestion at Genoa as a result of covid-19 cases, green pass requirements, vessel delays. The Voltri Terminal (VTE) has issued notification as of 10 Jan 2022, they will not accept (no gate-in permitted) of full containers on westbound services and will restrict export quantities on a weekly basis for all trades and a terminal congestion surcharge will be applied.
Genoa Europe  •  Italy  •  7 Jan 2022 - severe port congestion at Genoa as a result of covid-19 cases, green pass requirements, vessel delays. Europe UK Portbury 6 Jan 2022 -A major failure with a tidal lock gates has closed vessel traffic at Portbury dock. Smaller feeder vessels will divert to Avonmouth, but larger MSC container vessels will not be able to make port calls until January 21, 2022 at the earliest and will reroute to Liverpool. This will put pressure on UK landside operations and transport infrastructure for Liverpool and surrounding ports.

Africa South Africa Cape Town 19 Nov 2021 - Operating 6 gangs, 3 berth operation, terminal operating on CTOC berthing windows.Standard : 7 gangs, 3 berths, CTOC windows. Waiting time  is currently 1-2 days for CTOC vessels. Due to low productivity in port is shipping lines are closing vessels for further uptake on short term business, long term business strictly accepted via filed allocations.
